We lost the patriarch of our family on May 12, 2017. Dennis Adam-Joseph Weber, 83, lost his battle with cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck with Msgr. Thomas Richter officiating. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
A time of sharing will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM.
Our dad was born a kind soul to Jake and Ida Weber in South Dakota. The family moved into North Dakota and farmed grain and raised cattle. Dad attended New England boarding school from K-12.
He married Toni, his childhood sweetheart, in 1957. They had 5 children, Robbie, Dee Dee, Mark, Lori and John. Dennis had 3 grandchildren, Blayne, Connor and McKenna.
Dad had many roles in his life. He was a husband, father, grandfather, barber, elementary school teacher and finally owner and operator of the Dairy Queens in Bismarck, ND. He was the "boss" of those Dairy Queens for 51 years.
Dad had a passion for reading and singing. He read everything of all subjects. He had a love of history and current events. When the Apollo 11 mission landed on the moon, he had a TV brought into the classroom for his students to witness the historic event. As a barber, he performed numerous times in his barbershop quartet.
Dad could fix anything (Mr Fixit) and had a knack for problem solving. He maintained a high code of right and wrong. His motto was "if you are going to do something, do it right and with pride". He loved the game of golf and played it frequently living in North Dakota and Arizona.
Dad had a quick wit and a bountiful sense of humor. Smiling came easy to him. His way was strict but fair. We will always remember his love for our animals and his kind heart.
Dad we will all miss you! See you again!
Love your family and friends.
