Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service starting at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, December 17 at Bethel Lutheran Church.

He was born March 21, 1943 in Winfield, KS, the second of four boys, to Edgar L. and Hazel I. (Heaton) Kindt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, the mother of his children, a brother, grandson, nephew and cousin.

His education rested on THE GOOD BOOK; diligently studying The Truth within it’s pages daily. He was a farmer, sowing seeds of truth, hope, forgiveness, peace, and love into the lives of others. He grew food to feed his Father’s sheep. He was a builder, a humble forman determined to begin on the foundation of The Solid Rock, raising up strong men and women of God who could weather the forces that often rage and seek to destroy. He was a forester, connecting others to nature, working alongside to establish pathways to follow, showing them The Way and revealing unimaginable views from both hilltops and valleys. He was a truck driver, not only delivering much needed supplies and resources to benefit all, he often loaded up his truck with books to share and The Word to teach and comfort those he met along his travels. He was a physician, healing aching ears, cramping legs, broken dreams, lives and hearts.

He was a carpenter working with The Master in The Carpenter’s Shop, using his gifts to recognize the potential in each one he worked with… the difference in each grain, the scars and knots, the effects of a lightning strike. He carved and sanded out the rough spots to reveal the beauty within. Nothing was ever wasted. Even the smallest piece could be used to make something beautiful. He was a silversmith. He knew just how much heat to turn up or down to bring the dross and impurities to the surface to be removed. Faithfully, he stayed until he was certain it was refined.

He has now finished planting his crops, his sheep have been fed, his buildings stand firmly on solid Rock, he has shown The Light upon the pathways, the last truckload has been delivered, the physician has treated his final patient, The Carpenter’s son has laid aside his cloth and the silversmith can finally see the perfect face of his Saviour reflected in the purest of silver as he gazes upon The Master face to face.

He now waits just beyond the gates of glory to one day be reunited with those who live on to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Patricia (Trish) Kindt, brothers, John (Linda) Kindt, David (Sharon) Kindt, eight children: Cindy (Brian) Lewis, Kimberly (Thomas) Bingham, Michelle (Kris) Kindt Olson, Daniel (Sarah) Kindt, Tamara (Tim) Volz, Matthew (Amber) Kindt, Garret (Diana) Woodruff, Kim (Dennis) Tupper, 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as his many “adopted” children whom he loved dearly and the many precious friends he gathered along the way.
