Alex “Sonny” Moch, 88, Lincoln, ND, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 17, 2018, with his loving wife, Dianne, by his side. A memorial service will be held at First Love Church in Lincoln, ND, on Sunday, May 20, at 1:30 pm. Sonny was born November 22, 1929, in rural Emmons County, ND, the second child of John and Johanna (Feist) Moch. He went to rural school and attended Linton High School. Farming was Sonny’s passion, farming his whole life north of Braddock, with his dad, brother, Donald “Oscar”, and sons. Sonny could fix anything, and taught his sons the tricks of the trade, from fabricating and fixing anything needed on the farm. Sonny and Dianne Fallgatter were married in 1971 in Steele and raised their children, Tatia, Tracy, Trevor and Tory, on the family farm north of Braddock. The family fun included fishing in summer and winter, snowmobiling, and derby’s. A lot of memories were made on the Moch farm, but Sonny also taught the kids great work ethic. Sonny was active in the community including Township Boards, Rural Fire Department, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Braddock Lions and Wildlife Club, and Braddock St. Katherine’s Catholic Church. Sonny was proud to be a charter member of South Central Threshing Association. He also enjoyed trips to the casino. Sonny loved being a grandpa, and enjoyed his time spent with them once he retired from the farm. Following retirement, Sonny and Dianne moved to Lincoln, ND, where they were living at the time of his passing. Sonny leaves his beloved family including his loving wife, Dianne; his children:, Tatia and her daughter, Tianne; Tracy (Paula) and their children, Johanna, Tracy Jo, and Vonn; Trevor (Kathleen), and their children, Madison, Alex, Sterling, and Gabriel; and Tory (Jessica), and their children, Cambree, Ty, Daelen, Charity, and Shylo; godchild, Amy (Kristjan) Helgoe and son, Bjorn; sisters, Isabel Bedow, Carol Brieman, and Donna (Tony) Silvernagel; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don “Oscar”; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Darlene Fallgatter; and brothers-in-law, Pius Kuhn and Bruce Darsey.
