Alice was born on June 25, 1945 to Andy and Isabella (Mosset) Jangula. She was raised on a farm near Linton, ND. Alice attended rural school through the eighth grade.
Alice married the love of her life, Joe Olheiser, on September 2, 1963 at St Anthony Church in Linton. Shortly after they married, they moved to Strasburg. On January 7, 1965 their son, Duane was born. Being a mother to Duane was one of the most cherished and important things in her life. On April 25, 1966 she gave birth to a little girl whom they named Karen. Jesus called her home right away to become her and Joe’s guardian angel. On September 11, 1970, they had a son whom they named David. David lived a short time on earth and then went to Heaven to be with his sister, Karen.
Alice worked at the hot lunch program at the Strasburg Public School and also at the Strasburg Care Center in the kitchen where she worked for about 30 years. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Society at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Strasburg.
Alice loved to visit, drink coffee, play cards, go dancing and take an occasional trip to the casino. Mostly, she loved spending time with her two grandchildren, Brittany (Olheiser) Quale and Kalyn Olhesier. She also loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Addison, Cooper and Bennett Joe Quale.
Alice is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Joe; son, Duane (Bev), Bismarck; granddaughters, Brittany (Casey) Quale, Wing, and Kalyn Olheiser, Bismarck; great grandchildren, Addison, Cooper and Bennett Joe Quale; sister and brother-in-law, Diane (Tony) Rothacker; and brother and sister-in-law, Andy (Nora) Jangula.
