Anita Eileen Keller Kirschmann, 86, Bismarck, crossed over November 4, 2018, after a brief stay at Elm Crest Manor in New Salem. Anita was born tenth to the late John and Rosa Keller, immigrants from Odessa, Russia. She married Bernard Kirschmann at the Bethel Baptist Church in Missoula, Feb. 11, 1948. “Calla lilies, snapdragons, tulips and acacia formed a spring-like floral background for the altar.” They lived in Regent and Mott, farming land west of Regent, starting in a trailer, where Anita spoke of her “little home....Be it ever so humble there’s no place like home.”Anita is survived by her three children, Cheryl (Gary) Pickrell, Tucson, AZ, Wanda (Bruce) Wiebe, Stillwater, MN, and Leslie (Connie) Kirschmann, Regent, ND; sister, Viola Schneider, (San Jose); nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and twelfth on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; by eight brothers and sisters, Edmond, Gustave, Raymond, Rose, Ella, Bertha, Betty and Martha; and grandchild Christopher. She was thankful for many friends, deceased and present.Memorials may be given to Elm Crest Manor, New Salem or Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Regent. “And One is there to welcome you whose face you’ve looked for during all the best and worst times of your life.”
