Anna Marie Kraft

Anna Marie Kraft, 77, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 27, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 1321 Braman Ave, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with a rosary/vigil starting at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 26 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.

Anna Marie was born on April 6, 1947, to Anton E. and Marie (Gross) Kraft in Shields, North Dakota. She attended grade school in her hometown until the eighth grade, transferring to Fort Yates, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class.

She pursued higher education at Capital Commercial College, earning a degree in business. Following her studies, she worked at Q & R Clinic and subsequently dedicated 40 years of her career to United Tribes, serving as the secretary to the Dean of Education.

Family was of utmost importance to Anna Marie. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a top-notch organizer for the Easter egg hunts, a yearly highlight for all involved. Anna Marie brought joy to many through her love of music, particularly playing the accordion. She also enjoyed the camaraderie of her craft club and shared memorable moments with her sisters during casino trips.

Anna Marie leaves behind her siblings, Engelbert (Deb) Kraft, Leo (Cindy) Kraft, Janet (Jim) Moch, Joan Kraft, Betty (Jack) Schulz and Marge (Ryan) Bailey, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-neices and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Linda (Darrel) Simons and her niece, Lisa Kraft.

The family would like to thank Missouri Slope staff for the care and compassion they showed Anna Marie over the last seven years.
