Anton M. Bachmeier

Anton M. (Tony) Bachmeier, was born December 4,1920, in Strasburg, ND, and died August 15, 2017. He was raised in Strasburg, North Dakota. Cremation was in Bartlett, TN, and burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 2, at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, North Dakota, with Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Refreshments and fellowship to follow at the Bismarck Moose Lodge, 312 N 20th Street. Anton was a World War II Army Veteran and a devoted Catholic all his life. Tony is survived by his son, Anton J Bachmeier (Bina) from Hammond, Indiana; granddaughter, Gina Marie Bachmeier from Knox, Indiana; grandson, Shawn Alex Bachmeier from Hammond, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Bachmeier from Memphis, TN, granddaughters, Karen (Robbie) Davis from Collierville, TN, and Andrea (Kurt) Bittenbender from Memphis, TN; great-granddaughters, Hanna Marie Young and Emma Rae-Lynn Young from Knox, Indiana and Sara Davis and Sydney Davis from Collierville, TN. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Baumgartner who died December 20, 1954; his youngest son, Florian J. (Buck) Bachmeier who died May 10, 2002; and his parents, Melchoir and Christine Bachmeier.
