Our dear father, Anton “Tony” Klein was born on January 13, 1922, in Zeeland, ND, to Anton J. Klein and Elizabeth (Feist) Klein. Tony worked on the family farm until he joined the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 and served in World War II as a medic. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to Bismarck where he attended college. After college he purchased Town and Country Grocery Store located then on Main Street in Bismarck, ND. He sold the grocery store and went to work for the Burleigh County Treasurer’s Office. He then worked for the North Dakota Tax Department for 29 years. He enjoyed restoring his Model T and once he finished refurbishing his car he was so proud to drive it in parades with his wife. Upon his retirement from the Tax Department, he enjoyed camping, working in his yard, pitching horseshoes, playing cards, dancing, and fishing with family and friends. On September 9, 1952, he married his best friend and beloved wife, Cecilia (Dick) Klein. They welcomed into the world four daughters.  Tony is survived by his wife, Cecilia. Feeling the loss of their father are daughters, Mary Klein, twins Beverly (Timothy) Skoropat and Barbara (Roy) Mazigian, along with grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Mazigian, Nicholas Mazigian, Brian Mazigian, Abby (Nate) Sannes, Eric (Ashley) Hessinger, Bekah Hessinger, and Annie Hessinger (fiancé James Keller), Seth (Sabrina) Carlson, Ian Carlson, Kelly Carlson; great-grandchildren, Emma and Riley Sannes, Heidi and Max Mazigian, Maddie Carlson, Keaton and son to be baby Hessinger; his sisters, Toni Staudinger, Sister Janeane Klein, and Elizabeth Levi.
