On January 3, 2024, Ardith Holz, née Graves, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 80 years old and a lifelong North Dakota native. There will be no immediate funeral service, only a small memorial in the spring.
Ardie was born on December 18th, 1943, on the Fort Lewis Army Base in the state of Washinton, to Charles (Dutch) and Elizabeth (Betty) Graves, she was the youngest of the family.
Ardie was the daughter of a fireman, through whom she met her husband, Bill Holz. They married in October of 1965 and had three children. She worked for Job Service of North Dakota until her retirement, where her and her husband then enjoyed spending the cold winters in a much warmer Arizona.
Ardie leaves behind her children, Cora (Brad) Griffith, Tracy (Joni) Holz, and Elizabeth Holz; her grandchildren, Brady & Taylor Griffith and her siblings Susan Bourgois and Marlys (Darold) Pfenning. She also leaves behind numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Holz; her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Graves; her siblings Donna Solarz and Duane Graves, and her nephew Stuart Pfenning.
