Armin Morlock, 86, Bismarck, died June 28, 2019, at St. Vincent’s Care Center.
The service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church, 413 Avenue D. East, Bismarck, with the Rev. Thomas R. Marcis, Jr., officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday, July 1,at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Armin Morlock was born July 2, 1932, in Petersville Township northwest of Pettibone, the son of Jacob and Amalia (Wetzel) Morlock. He was raised and attended rural school near Pettibone. He was drafted and served in the Army from 1952 - 1954 during the Korean War. Armin married Dorene Rath on January 21, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck.
Armin worked as an electronics technician, mainly on televisions. He was part-owner of Five Star TV and Appliance and also worked for other repair businesses throughout the years.
He enjoyed dancing, playing cards, pool, checkers, bowling, and family gatherings. His ability to remember family birthdays, anniversaries, etc. was astounding. Armin was a lifelong member of the VFW.
Armin is survived by his wife, Dorene; his daughters, Pamela Wetzel, Linda (Monty) Liberda, both of Bismarck, and Barbara (Kirby) Steinke of Tuttle; and one son, Randy Morlock of Bismarck; 8 grandchildren, Raymond Wetzel, Jr., Valerie Schuh, Kurt Wetzel, Lisa Eng, Lacey Allery, Joni Perks, Casey Steinke, and Jessica Diekman; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsa Nerby, Sabin, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Gustav, Edwin, Elmer, and Alfred; his sisters, Hulda, Frieda, and Agnes; and son-in-law, Ray Wetzel.
