Barbara Stark

Barbara (Kretchman) Stark, 76, died on February 21, 2024 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. 

Barbara was born on April 16, 1947 in Bismarck to Lawrence and Ena Kretchman. She graduated from Tappen High School in 1965 and Modern Business College, Missoula, MT, in 1966.

Barb worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company until she married the love of her life, Warren Stark. This union was blessed with two children, Timothy and Tanya. 

Barb worked for United Accounts, Dakota Reprographics, Prairie Peddler, Joys Hallmark and Avon. She celebrated her 46^th year with Avon in 2022 before retiring. 

Her favorite hobby was making her own greeting cards and sending them to family and friends on birthdays and holidays. Barb and Warren liked to travel. Their favorite trip was to Australia in 2007 to spend a month with their son’s family. 

Barb is survived by her husband of 56 years, Warren Stark, Bismarck; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy (Michele) Stark, and their two children, Jasmine (Chase) and Jesse; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya (Jonathan) Moses, and their son, Cody, and his two children, Kamdyn and Kinzlee, and their daughter, Alyson; brother, Earl (Linda) Kretchman and their two children, Christina and Kyle (Karla) and their son, Connor; and her mother-in-law, Ruth Stark; and their fur baby, Buddy.

Barb was met in Heaven by her father, Lawrence; mother, Ena, who shared her birthday, April 16^th, with Barbara; sister, Bonnie Mae; grandparents, Anna and Frank Van Middlesworth; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and beloved pets.
