Belma Flath, 80, Robinson, died September 29, 2017. Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday October 3, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 216 Charles Street, Robinson with Rev. Allen Wagner officiating. Burial will be Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Monday October 2, at Eastgate-Steele Memorial Chapel Rosario Tapiz, later changed to “Belma” Maria Rosario Tapiz was born to Eugenio and Rosario Tapiz in Encinitas, California on February 26, 1937. She was the youngest of eight children. After graduating high school she worked at a plant nursery in Encinitas for a short time. On February 11, 1961 she married Donald H. Flath with this marriage brought a son, Don Flath. David Eugene was born August 1, 1962, she always said she had two sons. In the early 1970’s they purchased 200 acres of farmland in Kidder County, planning to move their family there some day, due to Donald’s failing health. Donald and Don came to work on the land and put up their fences with outer buildings on the farm in 1974-75. In 1976, they sold the last house he had built in California and moved to rural Robinson where they lived since. Belma loved her garden, animals, being on the farm, and taking care of her family. Donald passed away November 23, 1999 and Belma continued to live on the farm with help from her family until September of 2012 when she entered the Golden Manor in Steele. She is survived by one brother, Esperidion (Speedy) and his wife Sharon of Hemet, CA; her two sons and their families, Don and Rhonda Flath, David and Eldean Flath, all of Robinson; six grandchildren and great grandchildren: Darcy (Crystal), Alexis, MaKayla Flath, Germantown, WI; Dominic (Janet), Isaac, Caidan Flath, Baraboo, WI; Darla Jo (Warren), Adrianna Nelson, Grace Flath, DeSoto, MO; Derek, Khloe and Eliot Flath, Bismarck, ND; Danielle Deitelhoff, Baraboo, WI, Austin (Rachel) Flath, Robinson; a special former daughter-in-law, Diana Dalton, Baraboo, WI. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and one brother in law, Francis Bauer, Steele, ND. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, and six siblings.
