Bernice Delzer passed away in peace early Thursday morning, Feb. 11, 2021. Since she didn’t want others to know her young age, we won’t offend her by giving that away. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.
Burial will be held in the Spring at the Venturia Cemetery in Venturia, N.D.
Bernice was an active, spunky lady with a great sense of humor. She loved to bake and share her new, delicious recipes as well as some fantastic and time-consuming family favorites. Bernice loved to shop and loved to walk! Most days she combined the two by walking to Kirkwood and other stores near her apartment. She loved a good bargain! Oftentimes, she purchased items for her family which gave her the honorable title of “Bag Lady” since it was nearly impossible to leave her apartment without a bag of goodies or a purchase she made. Bernice also enjoyed watching TV, word searches and gardening.
She was a long-running member of Bismarck Baptist Church and loved her church family! Every Sunday Bernice attended services until COVID held her back for a couple months.
Bernice felt very blessed to have good friends and family – she loved and treasured all of them. She will be missed but we know when God opened that door for her to come she obeyed.
