Brad Brosseau, 57, Bismarck, passed away August 10, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 15, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.
Brad was born January 8, 1962, in Thief River Falls, MN. He grew up in various countries, including France and Germany. Brad came to Bismarck when he was six and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He went on to attend the University of North Dakota and finished his accounting degree at the University of Mary. Brad began his career with the International Newspaper Association Audit Bureau traveling to many different locations. He met Paula Pfiefle in February 1992 and the couple were married on October 1, 1993. Brad and Paula were blessed with what Brad called his greatest accomplishment, his two sons, Nicholas in 1996 and Alexander in 1999.
In 1998 the family moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where Brad worked for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette later to Jackson, MS at the Clarion-Ledger. In January 2002 they moved to Detroit, MI, for the Oakland Press. In 2004, the family moved back to Bismarck and Brad continued working in the finance departments of various companies. Most recently, he worked for K & M Tire.
Brad enjoyed spending time at the lake, taking a family trip to Mazatlan, Mexico, and most recently, Jamaica, where he was right alongside Alex as he got scuba certified. Some of his favorite times with Nick was spent fishing. He loved watching his children compete in sports. Brad’s greatest accomplishment was being a father to his boys.
Brad is survived by his wife, Paula and their sons, Nick and Alex; his parents: father, Terry (Joan) Brosseau; mother, Alane Selland; brothers, Tracy and Steven Brosseau; step-sister, Michelle Walz; step-brother, Reese Miller; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Kathy Pfiefle; brother-in-law, Jason Pfiefle; three nephews, Cole, Logan, and Austin; and two nieces, Halsey and Sydney.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
