Brenda J. Nagel

 Brenda Jacalyn Nagel, 69, cherished mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on March 7th, 2025, with her children by her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 11, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. During the gathering, Brenda’s family will share cherished stories, honoring her legacy of love and togetherness for generations to come. Family will begin welcoming guests one hour prior to service time. A luncheon will begin at 12:00 PM.

Born on June 12th, 1955, in Bismarck, ND. Brenda's greatest joy and achievement was her large, close-knit family. As a devoted mother, grandmother, foster mother and cherished friend, Brenda was the heart of her family. She left a lasting, positive impact on everyone she met, especially the many children she fostered over her 20+ years as a foster parent. Brenda had a passion for crafting and delighted in creating custom cards for every occasion. She also loved cooking German dishes and baking with her family, especially during the holidays.

Brenda is lovingly remembered by her children: Heidi Bell Schneibel and her husband Mike, along with their children Talen and Tristan; Bridgit Moszer and her husband Nick, with their children Mia and Maddox; and Andrew Nagel and his fiancée Cristy, with their children Lilly, Owen, Paisley, Sophie, Gavyn and Aiden. She is also survived by her foster children, Nicole Wolfer and her son Greyson, and Amanda Thompson. Brenda’s siblings include Dave Nelson and his wife Jeanne, Steve Nelson, Brian Nelson and his wife Lisa, Shelly Monson and her husband Dave, and Greg Nelson. She is also survived by her aunts Sandy, Claudia, and Rosie, as well as numerous uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Special appreciation is given to her caring friends, Linda Roberson and Lori Taylor, who helped care for her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Barbara and Eugene Nelson.
