Brendan Link

Brendan Link, 58, Bismarck, passed away on February 24, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. 

Brendan was born on March 17, 1965 to Raymond and Emilie Link. He was the third of five boisterous brothers and one sister who grew up on Northridge Drive in Bismarck. Brendan graduated from St. Mary’s Central High School in 1983.

After graduation, Brendan continued his journey at Bismarck State College, North Dakota State University, the Army Reserves, and then graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in History. His most recent job was as an IT engineer.

Brendan married Lorna McIlravie in August of 2001 in Sioux Falls, SD. Their daughter, Rosa, was born on January 28, 2003. Rosa was the light of Brendan’s life, as they shared many close moments and a common love of movies and exploring the environment. Brendan was an avid outdoorsman and was most at peace when spending time in nature, particularly when hiking, hunting, or fishing with Rosa, his brothers, nephews, and close friends.

Brendan’s interest in world history, sociology, and human behavior brought him great joy and allowed him to learn more about the world and the people he came into contact with. He was a lifelong and keen observer of people and had a wicked sense of humor and contagious laugh.

Brendan is survived by his daughter, Rosa, his parents, brothers, Mike (Jean, Kaila, Lauren, Joshua, Sarah, Matthew), Joe (Allie), Tom (Jessi, Sophie, Adam), Matt (Jane, Sam, Jake, Josh, Bo), sister, Kristie (Brad, Anna, Luke Jack), Lorna, and numerous cousins and friends.
