Brittin, nicknamed Miss B, was born to Travis and Amy (Fischer) Meyer on March 29, 2006. Born against all odds, and weighing just over three pounds, Brittin earned her life motto, “Though she be but little, she is fierce.” Her well-lived life was defined by her determination and grit, but also by her beautiful smile, twinkling eyes and lifelong companion “lamby.”
She was raised in Bismarck, and attended BECEP, Grimsrud Elementary, Horizon Middle School and Century High School, where she was a senior. Miss B loved school; she couldn’t get there fast enough, and when the school day ended, didn’t want to leave. She was involved in the CHS Peer to Peer program and United Sound orchestra.
She imbedded herself into the lives and hearts of many with her laughter, love and many quirks. Miss B loved dancing, climbing stairs, and could spend all day outside, especially in the sunshine. No matter the weather, long sleeves were a must, but her favorite was always a long sleeve sweater. She was fascinated with people and loved to watch everyone doing anything. Although Brittin was unable to speak, her actions and spunk spoke volumes. Without saying a word, she leaves a legacy of perseverance, acceptance and love.
Brittin will always be treasured and loved by parents Travis and Amy; grandparents, Lee and Valerie Fischer, and Terry and Judy Meyer; aunt and uncle Emily and Weston Dinger and Brooke Meyer; cousins Jackson, Gretchen, and Arianna Dinger; great-grandmother Arline Fischer; dedicated caregivers Reid and Marisa Shiland and Taylor Ohlhauser; and, her CHS peers.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents Helmuth “Slim” Fischer, Jack and Lil Becker, and Hilda and Harry Hruby; and great-uncle, Bernie Fischer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bravera bank, under Amy Meyer in memory of Brittin Meyer.
