Carina Grinsteiner

March 13, 1969 — March 7, 2019

Terezinha “Carina” Grinsteiner became our angel in heaven on March 7. She was born in Guarapuava, Parana, Brazil on March 13, 1969 to her parents Anna B. and Stephano Martyn. She was one of nine siblings and lived in Brazil until 2002 when she moved to Mandan, ND.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, March 11, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm  - 7:00 pm Sunday, March 10, at Parkway Funeral Service, where a rosary will begin at 7:00 pm.

Carina never passed up an opportunity to try something new or to gussy up for a fancy event. She loved dressing to the nines. She also loved spending time with family, hosting dinner parties, playing with kids, traveling, spending hours on the phone with her sister, and…TJ Maxx. She especially loved experiencing new adventures with her husband, Brian. Carina traveled the world and never grew weary of finding the next beautiful sight.

Carina had an adventurous spirit; when she decided she was “in” on something, she was all-in. She became a deer hunter (even trying bow hunting), a fisherwoman, a crocheter, a down-hill skier, a sky-diver, a zip-liner, a speed-boater, and a biker babe. She loved playing cro-shoes on the sandbar and serving guests on her backyard patio. She rarely said “no” to any suggestion for an outing. And she was always dressed in the perfect outfit for whatever it was she was doing. She lived life to its fullest and let everyone know how much joy she was getting from her experiences.

Carina had a generous heart and a great sense of humor, always finding a way to bring a smile to the faces around her. She was an extremely loyal friend and had a way of letting you know you were special. She was so special to us and we will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband Brian, mother Anna and siblings Olga, Jose, Laura, Varcilio, John, and Edy. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Carina was preceded in death by her father Stephano, her brother Augusto, her sister Maria, and Jerry.
