Carol J. (Koch) Saville, 75, Bismarck, died October 7, 2018, at her home. Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 11, at McCabe United Methodist Church, 1030 N 6th St., Bismarck, with Rev. Mark Ehrmantraut officiating. Burial will be at the Braddock Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 10, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Carol was born July 28, 1943, in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of John and Lydia (Kramer) Koch. She attended school in New Leipzig, graduating in 1961. After graduation, Carol attended Dickinson State University, completing her teaching degree in three years. Carol then took a year off and toured with God’s Volunteers. After starting her teaching career in Stanton, ND, she met and then married Dwight Saville on March 1, 1968. She continued her teaching career in the Bismarck area until they moved to the family farm northwest of Braddock. She taught in Braddock from 1979 until 1991, then substituted in area schools until she became a rural mail carrier. She retired in 2006 and moved to Mandan. Carol was very active with church activities, including Sojourners, bible studies, and the United Methodist Women. Carol had a love for music, playing organ, singing, and teaching piano to many kids. Carol’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and she loved spending time with them. Grateful to have shared her life are her children: one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dawn Saville, Shakopee, MN; four daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Michael Huska, Bismarck, ND, Amy and Michael Lindgren, Apple Valley, MN, Kristen and Conzello Barnhill, Bismarck, ND, and Loralie and Brandon Hoechst, Mandan, ND; eight grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Keith Saville, Grafton, ND; as well as many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; her brother, Mitchell; and her parents.
