Charlotte Haugen

d. September 18, 2019

Charlotte Jean Haugen, 61, formerly of Bismarck, passed away September 14, 2019 in Fort Worth, TX. A Memorial Service will be held ay 12 noon on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Evangel Church 3225 N 14th St, Bismarck.

Family will greet guests from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Parkway Funeral Service 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, where a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 PM.

Charlotte’s life began in Williston when she was born to Gilbert and Donna (Howard) Haugen. She and her siblings attended school at St. Joes and graduated from Williston High School in 1976. She was a graduate of Lowthian School, Minneapolis, MN with an Associate’s in Business Management.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and granny. Her legacy lives on in her friendships and relationships that she nurtured so deeply.

Charlotte was a true giver and was selfless in a way that is rarely found today. She had true passion for people and often was found rooting for the underdog.

She loved to travel, and her free spirit was much to be admired. Charlotte will be remembered for many wonderful things, most of all her roaring wit. Her humor was often as big as her heart. If you had the pleasure of meeting her, your memories will consist of something off the wall she did: all in good fun.

Charlotte was the life of the party, but before the party, she was the hardest worker there! She could create the most intimate family dinner or throw together a feast for 200.

She never let life run over her, although there was a truck that tried once. She had a magnificent laugh that invited everyone around her to join in.

Charlotte was a devoted mother and granny. She was in awe of her grandchildren and spent her final years being a “Granny Nanny” living with her daughter and family. She will be greatly missed and always loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Maggie (Richard) Nieves and their three children, Anthony Gabriel Nieves, Evalyn Belle Nieves, and Olivia Mae Nieves.
