Claire Agnes Jacobson, 65 years aka “Carrie” passed into the spirit world on February 5, 2024 after a long battle with cancer.
A memorial Service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway. Inurnment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck
Claire was born to Elliott and Edith (Silk) Jacobson March 29, 1958 in Bismarck, ND.
She grew up in Fort Yates and later moved to Ogden, Utah. She attended schools in Ogden and in McLaughlin, SD. Her high school graduation year of 1976 brought her home to Fort Yates. She attended colleges at BYU, in Provo, UT and BSC, Bismarck. She also attended St. Cloud University, St. Cloud MN.
Claire married Raymond Rodriguez in 1981. They had two sons, Tony and Carmello. Claire later had her three daughters, Beth Kerry, Lisa Marie, Meredith and another son, Ralph.
She was a beautiful person inside and out, she was loved by many. Claire loved her six children most of all. She loved to shop, had exquisite taste in everything. She had a real aesthetic flair for style and fashion, a talented interior designer, kept an immaculate house. She loved poetry, stationary/writing letters, mailing cards, music, dance, magazines, TV, traveling, cruising her flashy red Ford Mustang and spending time with her best friend, Tom Larson. She was a great conversationalist and had many friends. She was extremely generous, kind, witty, hysterically funny, and she loved Starbucks coffee.
Some of her fondest memories were the years she lived in Minneapolis, and finally settling in St. Cloud, MN, the city her sons Tony and Carmello also made their home. Claire would be so proud of her daughter Beth attending BSC’s Nursing Program as Claire had always aspired to be a nurse.
She is survived by her six children, three Sons, Antonio (Halli) Rodriguez, Carmello Rodriguez, Ralph Jacobson; three daughters, Beth Kerry Gullickson, Lisa Marie Curry and Meredith Jacobson; her sister, Rosie Jacobson; her niece, Angelique Jacobson; her brothers, Patrick and Timothy Zahn, Burdette, Elliott, Andrew, and Scott Jacobson, and other special nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Edith (Silk) Jacobson and her eldest brother, Michael A. Silk.
Claire is truly happy now, she is in paradise with her mother and father.
