Clarence Johnson, 71, Bismarck, died September 21, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 26, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 East Avenue C, Bismarck, with Rev. Jon Splichal Larson officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm. Clarence Arthur Johnson was born October 1, 1946, the son of Eric and Mabel (Antonson) Johnson. He was raised in Noonan, ND, and attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton for auto mechanics. Clarence served two years in the Navy Seabees and spent his 21st birthday in Vietnam. On June 11, 1977, he married Wendy Benson. They were married for 41 years and together raised two children. Clarence was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Abate. He lived to ride his Harley and was an active member of the HOG club and Retreads. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Wendy; two children, Michael (Michelle) Johnson and Nicole (Steven) Ebertowski; five grandsons, Jameson, Harrison, and Maxon Johnson and Wyatt and Marshall Ebertowski; his sisters, Evelyn (Richard) Moss and Alice (Garry) Kolb; brother, Dennis (Rhonda) Polsfut; mother-in-law, Elaine Benson; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his little buddy, Tigger. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Orval Benson; and his niece, Kara Kolb.
