Cornelia Doris Louise Hetzler

Cornelia Doris Louise Hetzler, 103, Mandan, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Miller Pointe Care Center, Mandan. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 8, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 200 Shady Lane, Mandan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at the Wishek Cemetery. Cornelia was born July 30, 1915, at home on a farm between Wishek and Danzig, ND, to John and Pauline Hetzler. She graduated from Wishek High School in 1933 and moved to Mandan to work as a receptionist at her brother’s office, Doctor Arnold Hetzler, from 1933 to 1966. On the death of her brother, she was employed by the State of North Dakota until her retirement in 1985. Cornelia was an avid photographer and took a lot of photos of the growing city of Mandan and family, enjoying life and the people around her. Cornelia is survived and will be deeply missed by her niece-in-law, Bernadine Hetzler; her grand nieces and grand nephews, John, Greg, Eric, Steve, Richard, Mary, Nancy, Cynthia, Christopher, and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Arnold and Dan; three nephews, John, James, and Robert.
