Corry Lee Schneider, 63, Minot, formerly of Goodrich, died April 19, 2019, at his home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck, with Rev. Merle Hoots officiating. Burial will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, April 26, at Goodrich City Cemetery. Corry was born May 14, 1955, the second son to Elroy and Laree (Suelzle) Schneider. He was raised on the farm and educated in Denhoff and graduated from Goodrich Public School in 1973. He loved to play basketball and football all through his high school years. Corry attended Minot State University and continued his football career with Minot State Beavers. After college graduation, he still always came back to Sheridan County to help farmers in the area during the summer. He also taught school and drivers ed and coached sports at Goodrich Public School for a few years. Corry had a love for weight lifting, even breaking his own records he set. He once pulled 100 cases of Pepsi on a pellet to show his capabilities in the Pepsi pull. He deadlifted over 600 lbs and bench pressed over 500. Corry worked at the ND Highway Department in the Minot District as a sign shop foreman for 42 years. In 2016 he decided to slow down and retired to his little paradise in Ward county, but still enjoyed helping out a farmer friend with his cattle. Corry would always try to help out anyone, it was his calling in life. He leaves behind two brothers, Clinton (Donna Gail), Manitou Springs, CO, and Fred (Pam), Bismarck; his sister, Vicky (Tim), Bismarck; three nieces, Tasha (Tim) Sorum; Paige (Devon) and Jordon; one nephew, David (Megan) Schneider; two great-nieces, Carson and Cora; two great-nephews, Caleb and Emersyn; David’s step-daughter, Kinley; one sister-in-law, Helen; special friends, Junior Ellingson, Dave Haman, Todd Haman, and Donny Pfeifer; and many other friends he met in life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Laree; and his older brother, Glenn.
