Dale was born on January 13, 1946, in Richardton, ND, to Frank and Margaret (Gallagher) Rummel. He received his education at St. Mary’s Grade School, high school at the Assumption Abbey, and college at the Assumption Abbey and Dickinson State. Dale married Geri Elis on December 27, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richardton, ND. Of that union, two children were born, Cary Dale Rummel and Darcie Marie (Rummel) Turner. Their main residence and true home was in Bismarck, ND. He started his career at the National Guard and the Army Reserve, where he steadfastly served for 29 years until his retirement. Dale was very proud of his career and took it very seriously, as he was proud of all those who serve and have served our country. Throughout the years, he made many close friends, and he valued those friendships dearly. Every spring, he would plant flowers for his wife to celebrate Mother’s Day and her birthday. It was an expression of his love and so she could look at all of the beautiful flowers.
