Danny Gene Weigand, 69, passed away on November, 8th 2018, at Sanford Health, surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday November 12 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where family will greet people from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Danny was born and raised in Oklahoma where he lived until he met and married his wife Betty, in 1978. He then moved to Bismarck, North Dakota where they started their family. Danny was a wonderful husband and an amazing father to three children, and grandfather to four grandchildren. He was a hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy man who loved his family deeply. Danny held many degrees, including a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a master’s degree in Business Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Early in his life he worked as an Air Traffic Controller, and currently worked as a realtor along with owning his own business. Danny’s interests included, family, gardening, computer technology, hunting, fishing, and most recently restoring fishing equipment. The family enjoyed traveling together and treasured their yearly trips to Oklahoma City where they visited Danny’s family including his mother, sister, two brothers and their families. Blessed to have shared his life is his wife of 40 years, Betty; his two daughters, Brandy (husband Randy) and Barbi; and his son Derek (wife Holly) all originally from Bismarck; his grandchildren, Colton, Elaina, Christian, and Carter; his brother Dwayne; and his sister Marilyn. He is also survived by his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and their families. Preceding him in death were his parents Eldon and Mary, and his brother Larry.
