Richard “Dean” Pegors was called home to his creator on February 11, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 16, at Grace Lutheran Church, Driscoll. Family will be greeting visitors from 9:00 am – 11:00 am Thursday, February 14, at the Tribal Chamber Office in Fort Yates and will continue from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a sharing of memories time will begin at 7:00 pm. Dean was born to Wilbert and Ida (Gaub) Pegors in Fairmont, MN, on February 5, 1953. During his life, Dean had many blessings. In the late 70s he married Betty Lang; they worked the family farm and raised five children, Randy (Kamie), Tracy (Larry), Rusty (Dawn), Ryan (Bonita), and Rod (Kris). Dean was very active in EMS. He was a member of Sterling Fire and Rescue, Kidder County Ambulance, Sanford Air Med, and his true passion was being a critical care paramedic and director of Standing Rock Ambulance which he served for 25 years. He will be dearly missed by his Standing Rock family and friends. Dean met and married the love of his life, Suzette Meland. Together with Jenni and Jamison, they made a beautiful family. Dean loved animals, especially his Toby, Bella, Harley, and Lee. Dean will be missed immensely by his wife, Suzette; along with his brothers and sisters, Darleen (deceased), Yvonne, LeRoy, and Marlyn.
