Dean C. Rahn, 61, Bismarck, died May 12, 2020 at a Bismarck hospital.
A private family service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 18. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. There will be no service livestream; however, a recorded version of the funeral service will be up momentarily.
Dean was born on November 8, 1958, in Bismarck, ND, the son of LeRoy and LouAnn (Miller) Rahn. He was raised and attended school in Bismarck. Dean married Sheila (Dietrich) Schaefer on June 19, 2004, in Bismarck. He worked for Melrose/Bobcat for 20 years until it closed in 2009. He then started with Cedric Theel shortly after and has been employed with them since. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Dean enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching football on Sundays and cheered for his favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings.Dean is survived by mother, LouAnn Rahn; his wife, Sheila Rahn; his stepchildren, Jennifer (Tom) Ehrhardt, Miranda (Nick) Hinsz, Natasha (Matthew) Nieuwsma, Christopher (Bailey Kruger) Schaefer; his step grandchildren, Palmer and Laurel, Ayden and Hadley, Annabelle and Holden; his mother-in-law, Hilda Dietrich; his brothers-in-law, Dale (Ruth) Dietrich, Darcy (Fran) Dietrich and Dwight (Colleen) Dietrich; his siblings, Terry Rahn, Brian (Carla Kelsch) Rahn, Sheila (Shannon) Noakes; his nieces and nephews, Jesse Rahn , Jennifer (Joseph) Neumiller, Nicole (Kory) Meyer, and Nathan (Paige) Paislee; his aunts, Adeline Aanderud, LaVelle (Sailer) Anvik, Karen Miller; his uncles, Dale (Ceil) Miller, Lee (Brenda) Miller, Darrel Rahn; his great-nieces and nephews, Sterling Rose, Hannah, Madi and Avrey, and Mason, Kailey, and Kashton.
Dean was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Rahn; his step nephew, Travis Noakes; his beloved uncles, Albert Aanderud, Gordan Miller; and his beloved aunts, Margean Miller and Pam Rahn.
