Debby R. Levander, 69, Bismarck, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in a Bismarck Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. A private family service will take place.
Debby Rose Storbakken was born on October 1, 1952, in Abercrombie, North Dakota, the daughter of Alvin and Marie Storbakken. She was raised and educated in the area and graduated from Richland High School. She then worked in the Fargo area, doing secretarial work for five years, before moving to Bismarck. Shortly after her move, she started employment with the Bismarck Public Schools, where she was a secretary/receptionist for almost 40 years. She was once married to Greg Levander and became a mom in 1987 when her son Ryan was born.
Deb loved to go on walks, especially with the family dog, Bailey. She had a natural artistic ability and was great at drawing. She enjoyed traveling to Colorado to visit Ryan when she could.
She is survived by; son, Ryan Levander and his girlfriend, Daniela Castañeda, Denver, Colo.; siblings, Gene (Barb) Storbakken, Bismarck, Ron (Sue) Storbakken, Staples, Minn., and Diane (LeRoy) Larson, Alexandria, Minn.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Marie Storbakken.
