DeElda Butschat

DeElda “Dee” Butschat, 95, Bismarck, passed away at her home on January 17, 2025. No services will be held at this time. Burial will be held in the spring at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

DeElda Bitterman was born in Streeter, ND on December 26, 1929. She married Ernest Butschat on September 5, 1948 and has resided in Bismarck since 1951.

Dee was a long-time member of Legacy United Methodist Church and in her younger years was very involved in church activities. Her faith was strong and unwavering.

After being a business owner for many years, she went on to work at St. Alexius Medical Center for many years, where she loved the work and the people. After retiring, she decided to go back to work at Dakota Eye Clinic. There, too, she loved her job and the people she worked with. She decided to stop working during COVID at age 90.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda and Robyn; and son-in-law, Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; and son, Jonathan.
