Delbert "Del" Laschkewitsch

January 15, 1938 — March 22, 2018

Delbert “Del” Laschkewitsch, 80, Mandan, died March 22, 2018, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. A celebration of his life will be held at 4:30 pm Monday, March 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Del will be buried at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Sunday, March 25, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck, where sharing of memories will begin at 6:00 pm. Delbert Don was born January 15, 1938, at Wing, ND, the son of Samuel E. and Edith Marie (Mueller) Laschkewitsch. He was raised on the family farm near Goodrich, ND, and graduated from Goodrich High School in 1955. Del was enlisted in the Army from 1957 – 1958. Del worked construction until he took over the family dairy farm. In 1992, he moved to Bismarck where he was employed as a courier with Presort Plus. Del married Nancy Mathena on April 19, 2003, at the Glencoe Sloan Memorial Presbyterian Church at Glencoe, ND. He was a member of the Glencoe Sloan Memorial Presbyterian Church and in his leisure time he enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, and watching television. Del was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and many good friends. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, Mandan; his first wife, Audrey Laschkewitsch, Andover, MN; his daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Dan Masloski, Champlin, MN; two sons, Brett Laschkewitsch and his fiancée Tiffany Dockham, Champlin, MN, and Doug Laschkewitsch, Newcastle, WY; his stepchildren, Richard and Jeanette Mathena, McClouth, KS, Twila Mathena Merriam, KS, and Michelle and Bryon Shumaker, Hartford, SD; his grandchildren, Cassie and Katy Masloski, Trevor Laschkewitsch, Elizabeth Kuntz, Jarrod Mathena, Brandi Greeno, David and Kellie Edwardson, Tyler and Derek Renken; and his sister-in-law, Mila Laschkewitsch, Chicago, IL. Del was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the United Blood Services of Bismarck or the Heart Association.
