Delores (Dee) Helen Kanwischer

Delores (Dee) Kanwischer, 72, went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2018.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, December 31, at Century Baptist Church, 205 Colt Ave., Bismarck, with Pastor Paul Nather and Pastor Dave Gallagher officiating.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sunday, December 30, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck.

Dee was born August 20, 1946, in Minot, ND, and grew up in Sanish and Fessenden, ND. She married William (Bill) Kanwischer on September 7, 1963. Together they had four children.

After moving to Bismarck, ND, in 1985, Dee spent the next 20+ years working in furniture sales. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Dee loved spending time with family as it was very special to her. She also enjoyed cooking for family and sharing her recipes. Dee had many special friends as she was such a loving and caring person. She was very involved in her kids’ activities. She also loved reading Scripture.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Kanwischer; daughter, Tammy (Tom) Martin; son, Daniel (fiancé Nancy) Kanwischer; daughter, Nicole (Chad) Kramer; son, Jeff (Tenley) Kanwischer; brother, Cameron (Mavis) Rusch; brother, Fred (Jean) Rusch; sister, Sue (Gary) Nather; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Rhyne Rusch.
