Denise Keller

Denise Arlene (Bibb) Keller, 64 of Bismarck, ND passed away on May 11, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Cremation has occured.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, May 18, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.  The family invites attendees to a light meal after the service.

Family will begin receiving visitors one hour prior to services.

She was born on August 31, 1958 in Alexandria, VA to Robert and Edith (Blevins) Bibb.  Denise spent her early childhood growing up in Virginia until her dad moved the family to Bismarck in 1974 for work.  Here she attended high school and was part of Century High School’s first graduating class.  During high school, she met the man she would eventually marry, Michael Keller and they wed on June 2, 1978.   Together they had three daughters and made their home here in Bismarck.

Denise pursued a career in banking, which she enjoyed over the course of 15 years. She ultimately came to work at Southridge Chiropractic at the front desk before her illness forced her to retire.  She enjoyed visiting with patients and getting to know them.  Denise was very social, and you couldn't go shopping with her without her running into someone she knew.  

Denise was a motivated woman who didn’t let the grass grow under her feet.  She enjoyed a variety of activities including volleyball, camping with her husband, thrift store shopping for the ultimate Christmas decor, and spending her summer evenings and weekends in the pool.  She loved having her children and grandchildren over to swim and Sundays were always a special day for family get-togethers and playing trivia.  Despite her cancer diagnosis, she lived her life to the fullest during her last year, always planning for the next holiday or trip.  She was full of life and giving up was never an option.

Denise will be greatly missed by those who survive her: loving husband Michael, Bismarck, ND, daughters Shannon (Dwayne) Feist, Menoken, ND, Lindsey Keller (special friend Jesse Zuraff), Bismarck, ND, Meghan (Kyle) Hanson, Lincoln, ND, her mother Edith Bibb, Bismarck, ND, sisters Debbie (Dave) Bishop, Gainsville, TX, Patrice Bibb (special friend Rick Kringstad), Bismarck, ND, Cindy (Dave) Antil, Monument, CO, grandchildren: Aubrey, Anthony, Jayce, London, Axl, and Amelia. Denise also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Bibb, her brother Robert Bibb Jr.,  and her precious rescue dog Smootch.
