Denise Stevens

Denise Stevens, 69, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in Bismarck, ND, after a brief, courageous battle with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) also known as Lou Gerig's Disease.

Denise was born in 1953 to Dennis and Theresa Stevens in Manchester, NH. She was the youngest of four siblings. Denise was raised in Deerfield, NH. Denise moved to Steele, ND, in 1975.  She helped her mother, Theresa Stevens, run a daycare for close to 40 years in Steele.  Denise absolutely loved children.  Denise had a sweet childlike personality and sense of humor that endeared her to many of the children and families that were part of the daycare and surrounding community.  Denise also loved playing bingo, cards, board games, Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Denise is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane (Wayne) Jensen, Bismarck, ND, in addition to multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and sisters-in-law, Sue Stevens, Manchester, NH, and Sue Stevens, Rockwood, TN; 

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Theresa Stevens; and brothers, Michael Stevens and Daniel Stevens.
