Dennis Paul Kropp, age 82, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 2, 2024, at Sunset Prospera Care Center. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda, his children William (wife Uyen), Rick (wife Bonnie), Sarah, and Garrett (Wife Keshia); and cherished grandchildren Amanda, Michaela, Ethan, Caroline, Maximilian, and Frederick.
Raised in Pingree, North Dakota, Dennis had an interest in farming from an early age, playing with tractors and equipment, and working each summer school break for local farmers. He graduated high school and promptly volunteered for the Army, where he served two years at White Sands, New Mexico, achieving the rank of Sergeant. After his service, he returned home to farm alongside his brother, Keith, working the land across Pingree, Selfridge, Solen, and Driscoll until his retirement in 2012. In retirement, Dennis and Linda enjoyed winters together in Texas, forming many lasting friendships.
Dennis married the love of his life, Linda Marie (Rummel), in 1982. Together, they built a life rich with family, friendship, and adventure. His love of the outdoors was profound, a passion he joyfully shared with his family. Dennis hunted big game in Africa, moose and elk in Canada, and pursued deer, dove, upland game, and geese in North Dakota. His spirit for adventure led to family road trips to Alaska via the ALCAN Highway, hunting trips to Texas, and fishing excursions to Lake La Ronge in northern Saskatchewan.
Dennis’s love for his family, his dedication to the land, and his adventurous spirit will live on in the memories of all who knew him.
