Diane Claymore

September 20, 1934 — August 3, 2017

Diane Claymore, 82, Bismarck and long time resident of Ft. Yates ND, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on August 3, 2017 at the Bismarck Baptist Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday August 9 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. There will be no viewing, cremation has taken place. Diane was born September 1934, in Ft. Yates, the daughter of John and Dorothy(Euneau) Stiles, where she was raised and graduated from high school. Diane married Gernell Claymore on July 31, 1954 in Ft. Yates.  Diane enjoyed many activities, most of all she loved watching her children and grandchildren participate, whether it was an athletic event, dance competition or a music program.  Diane’s passion was for people, she was generous, hospitable and compassionate but where she excelled, and what defined her was being Mom. She touched the lives of many and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Diane is survived by her sons Charles “Tex” and Dixie(Kupitz), Alexandria, MN, Gernell “Gus” and Margaret(Ramey), Savage ,MN , Jay, Ft. Yates, ND, Robert “Bob” and Roberta(Barth), Prior Lake, MN, Jon and Rebecca(Clevenger), Yakima, WA and daughters, LouAnn(Gary) Lorts, Jefferson City, MO, Krissa (Erik) Oatfield, Sandy, OR and Tara Claymore, Lincoln, ND. Thirteen (13) Grandchildren: Kaylee, James, Severyn, Nathan, Jordan, Gabrielle, Bo, Kelsey, Chase, Kade, Reagan, McKenna, Kestyn along with Eleven (11) Great Grandchildren. Her sisters Betta Archambault, Bismarck, ND, Irene (Darrell) Bender Mobridge, SD, Johnelle Opem, Elk River, MN, Sherri (Byron) Stiles-Imker, Sioux Falls, SD and Debbie Stiles, Bismarck, ND and sister/ brother-in-law Merry(Willie) Ketterling, Larimore, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Dorothy; husband Gernell; mother-in-law Elizabeth Claymore and her sister Etta Plum.
