Donna Mae (Bauer) Osadchy, 85, longtime Gasman Township resident died in Bismarck, on May 25, 2017, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck.Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 30, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating.Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm Monday, May 29, 2017, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where sharing of memories will begin at 6:00 pm.Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.Donna was born October 30, 1931, in Garrison, ND, to Emil and Hilda (Eslinger) Bauer. She was raised on the family farm, attended rural schools, and graduated from Garrison High School in 1949. Donna married Arnold Osadchy on October 21, 1951 in Colorado Springs, CO. They began farming in Rushville Township in 1952 and purchased their current farm in 1958, where they raised small grains and cattle. Donna taught in a one-room school in Garrison, was a 4-H leader in Ward County for 25 years, a Farmers Union Youth Leader in Ward County, was also a cook for Conventions, the Mouse River Summer Camps, and South Prairie Elementary School.Donna served on the Gasman Township and Ward County election boards and was a longtime member of Gasman Homemakers and Our Lady of Grace Catholic Ladies Aid Society. She also worked at Northwest Fabrics for many years using her sewing and crafting skills.Donna is survived by her children, Tamara (David) Garner, McIntosh, SD, Rick Osadchy, Max, Michelle (Ronald) Beaver, Mead, CO, Jana (Jeffrey) Rub, Norfolk, NE, Taresa “Tari” (Jeffrey) Azure, Menoken, ND, Colleen (Daniel) Ebach, Lincoln, ND; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delma (Robert) Hueffman, Tamarac, FL, and Ruby (James) Schlichting, Garrison, ND.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; her parents, Hilda and Emil Bauer; and three great-grandchildren, Zara Garner, Bentley Azure, and Baby Erhardt.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
