Duane Reimche

Duane L. Reimche was a caring husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed away on August 23^rd, 2023, at a local hospital. Even through sickness, his kind heart and smiling blue eyes made him a favorite to all of his caregivers.

A funeral service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday August 30^th, at the First Lutheran Church, 408 9^th St. NW, Mandan with reception to follow.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday, August 29^th, at Parkway Funeral Services 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens – Chapel of the Chimes, 1313 E Century Ave, Bismarck following the reception.

Duane was the son of Roy and Esther (Bich) Reimche. He was born and raised in rural Harvey, ND where he farmed for many years. In 1996, Duane married the love of his life Elaine Becker, and built a life together on their farm in Harvey until moving to Bismarck, ND in 2016. He enjoyed visiting with people, driving around checking fields, and old country and polka music. He was also a dedicated member of the Harvey Eagles Club.

Duane was passionate about farming and loved sharing this passion with his nieces and nephews. He was a very generous man with a huge heart, always wanting to help his family and friends any way he could. His sweet personality and clever one-liners made him contagious to everyone he met. He was always doted on by many servers at his and Elaine’s favorite restaurant establishments around town. Duane also enjoyed watching and interacting with his great-niece Blair.

Duane is survived by his loving wife Elaine; sister Geraldine Knodel, Dilworth, MN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Diane, Daniel and Karin, Harvey, ND; Jerome & Mary, Moorhead, MN; sisters-in-law, Sylvia, Minot, ND; Darlene Weigel (Jeff Mertz), Hurdsfield, ND; brother-in-law, Jim Becker, Mandan, ND; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Esther; brother Curtis; nephew Jaime; and brother-in-law, Dallas Knodel.
