Dwight “Bub” Miller, 74, Mandan, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018, at his home in Mandan. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway in Bismarck, with Dennis Sailer officiating. Visitation will be the evening prior from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Monday, August 6, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway in Bismarck. Burial will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Dwight Raymond Miller was born November 7th, 1943, in Bismarck, ND, the third child of John “Frank” Miller and Marion (Morris) Miller. He was raised in the Wing area, attended the Wing School and graduated in 1962. On March 30, 1973, Dwight married Leslie Buss of Bismarck, ND. Following their marriage, they moved to Lake Metigoshe, ND, where they lived until 1985. He then moved back to the Burleigh County area near family and friends. Dwight was a proud member of the North Dakota National Guard, retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1992 after 26 years of service. Dwight was known to all his friends and family as “Bub”. Bub enjoyed many interests, including cars, photography, and cooking, and loved spending time with friends. He also had a love of the water, and spent lots of time boating at Lake Metigoshe or on the Missouri River. If you met Bub then you knew you had a friend. Everywhere he worked and played he made friends that he held dear to his heart. Dwight is survived by his children Phil (Donna) Miller; Bismarck, ND and Jennifer (Peter) Miller; Janesville, WI. He has two grandchildren, Hannah and Thomas. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alden Miller and Duane Miller.
