Edith Bibb

Edith “Granny” Bibb, 85, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully at St. Gabriel’s Benedictine Living Community surrounded by her family on January 6, 2025. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00p.m. Friday, January 17, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. 

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Edith was born on August 8, 1939 in Fairfax, Virginia. She was the daughter of Elmer and Mayme Blevins. Edith was the 8th child of 11. Edith married Robert Bibb on August 11, 1956 in Arlington, Virginia. They were blessed with five children. The family moved to Bismarck in 1974 to allow Robert to continue his electrical line work. Edith and Robert were married for 59 years before he passed away in 2015. 

She was a stay at home mom to her five children and helped raise her grandchildren. Edith loved spending time with her family. She loved working puzzles, reading, playing trivia games and playing cards. Edith also enjoyed traveling. 

Granny is survived by her daughters, Debbie, (Dave) Bishop, Gainesville, TX, Patrice (Rick Kringsted) Bibb, Bismarck, ND and Cindy (Dave) Antil, Monument, CO.; her sister, Lois Elliott, NC.; and her grandchildren, Shannon (Dwayne) Feist, Ryan (Janeen) Antil, Craig Stamaris, Lindsey Keller, Tyler (Christy) Antil, Meghan (Kyle) Hanson, Stacey (Tony) Baskerville, Amanda (Tyler) Welk, Ariel Bibb and Alex Bibb. Edie had 14 great-grandchildren; Gianna Antil, Aubrey Hanson, Tony Feist, Jayce Zuroff, Jackson Baskerville, David Antil, Cadence Antil, Kenidy Baskerville, London Feist, Tenly Antil, Axl Hanson, Amelia Hanson, Brooklyn and Berkeley Welk. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her son, Robert, Jr., her daughter, Denise Keller, her parents and 9 siblings.

Edith’s family would like to thank St. Gabriel’s Benedictine Living Community and Sanford Hospice for their care and support.
