Eileen Sizemore

March 1, 1925 — November 25, 2019

Lyndall (Huncovsky) Sizemore, 94, received her invitation into Heaven on November 25, 2019. She died at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, at First Presbyterian Church, Mandan.

Lyndall was born March 1, 1925, to Anton and Lyndall (Schoonover) Huncovsky in Mandan, ND. She lived in Fort Rice, ND, during her youngest years, and later moved to Huff, ND, where her dad was postmaster. She graduated from Mandan High School with the class of 1943.

Eileen was married to Harold Roger Jensen and from this union three daughters were born, Lynn, Karen and Carleen. She was later married to T. Keith Sizemore and welcomed his daughter, Gail and his son, Tom, as her family as well. Keith died in 1970, and she remained in her home until moving to Bismarck in 2011.

Eileen loved numbers, statistics, and dates. Her work consisted mainly of bookkeeping. She worked for Cloverdale Creamery, Blue Ribbon Hatchery, J.C. Penney Co., and for Cloverdale Foods. She retired in 1985.

Eileen loved a good game of bridge and spent hours with family and friends playing pinochle. Our family thanks Rita Klug and Roberta Holbrook for the past five years of playing cards, and a thank you to her bingo buddy, Don Kartes, who watcher over her on many bingo outings. She rarely missed watching her Minnesota Twins, and enjoyed talking statistics with her Bragg grandsons. When her dementia advanced, maybe she could remember the last 5 minutes, but could remarkably rattle off the name of a coach for a variety of teams.

Her early morning hours found her with a cup of coffee and the crossword. She enjoyed this quiet time. Eileen kept a neat yard, and loved her red rhubarb and beautiful irises, hyacinths, bleeding hearts, and lilacs. She was the greatest pie and cookie maker ever. Her grandkids often told her she should open a pie shop but knew all pies would be sold within 15 minutes of opening the door.

Eileen continued until the end to express her love for her family. She was very proud of her kids and their spouses. She is survived by Lynn and Roman Klein of Houston, TX; Karen and Terry Bragg of Mandan/Arizona, Carleen Hennenfent of Bismarck, Tom and Evie Sizemore of Kansas, and Gail Light of Michigan. Her grandkids were all her favorites. They are Romy (Brian) Godwin, Jason (Paris) Klein, Shani Cook, and Bree (John) Griffin; Troy (Suzanne), Kyle (Lenka), Ryan, and Cory (Melissa) Bragg and foster son, Max Neumiller; Jocelyn (Patrick) Reedy, Brandon (Sabrina) Ehlis, Vanessa (Kent) Graham, Chelsey (Mayzey) Ehlis, and Nick Hennenfent; Chris and Jonathan (Korin) Light; Tracy (Sean) Ochester, Aaron, and Kelly Sizemore. She was also the proud great-grandma to 32 children and great-great grandma to Tegan Bragg. Eileen is also survived by two nephews, Fred (Elsa) Armstrong and Gary Edwards, and a great-niece, Ardy McGrath.

Eileen was preceded in death by two sisters, Ardys (Fred) Armstrong and Audrey (Carl) Edwards, her brother, Roger Huncovsky, her husband, Keith, son-in-law, Greg Hennenfent, three grandchildren, baby Jason, Ramona Light, and Amber Bragg, and nephews Barry and Carl Edwards.

Eileen was able to visit the “Miracle Palace”, with many “miracle workers”, during her broken hip surgery at the end of August. She was also excited to share that she saw the angel who looked like the one she kept on her dresser. With this small taste of Heaven, she would assure of the validity of the Bible reading, “In my Father’s House are many rooms…” House to many, Miracle Palace to Eileen. God gave her His final invitation to come Home on November 25, 2019. We will dearly miss our 94-year-old Mama, but are blessed to have her for so long.
