Elizabeth "Betty" (Jantzer) Krous was born on September 27, 1926 in Hebron, North Dakota. She was the first of five daughters born to Math and Elizabeth (Messer) Jantzer. She had many precious memories of growing up on the family farm near Hebron and working at the Green Lantern Café in town. She married Mike Krous from Gladstone on October 9, 1950 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richardton. They moved to a farm northeast of Tappen in 1951. They welcomed their son, Michael, to the family in 1952 and daughter, Vernetta, in 1955. Elizabeth helped farm, enjoyed gardening and baking, sewing, hosting card parties and decorating the farmhouse for the holidays. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and its Altar Society. After sixty-three years, Elizabeth and Mike traded their farm-life for the city-life and moved to Bismarck in 2014. She loved her family, treasured times when all of them were together and thought the world of the "little ones", her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Mike; her children, Michael (Sandra) of Bismarck and Vernetta (Kyle) Erickson of Maddock; her grandchildren, Jeremy of Bismarck, Michelle (Michael) Kuntz of Solen and Justin of Boston, Massachusetts; her great-grandchildren, Michaela Kuntz, Miranda Kuntz and Montgomery Kuntz of Solen; her sisters, Loretta (Les) Dingwall of Ellendale, Vernetta (Jim) Gress of Fargo and Emma (Marvin) Hamann of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by two little angels she met for a moment; her parents, Math and Elizabeth; and her sister, Clara Renner-Fadness.
