Elizabeth Haag, 96, Center, passed away on April 3, 2019, at a Bismarck care center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, April 9, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Center, ND. A vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm Monday, April 8, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Center.
Burial will be held at a later date at St. Martin’s Cemetery, Center.
Elizabeth was born October 6, 1922, the daughter of John and Barbara (Barnhardt) Hatzenbihler. She married Jake Haag on June 21, 1942, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, and to this union one daughter was born. The family made their home in Montana for 40-plus years and eventually moved back home to Center.
Elizabeth enjoyed embroidering and crocheting, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Louise Hatzenbihler, Barbara Hatzenbihler, and Thelma Haag; her caregivers, Christopher and Nancy Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake; her daughter, Marie (John) Green; her brothers, Jack (Magdyln) Haztenbihler, Matt (Adaline) Hatzenbihler, Ralph Hatzenbihler, John Hatzenbihler, Monsadius (Cecelia) Hatzenbihler, Peter (Elizabeth) Hatzenbihler, and Frank (Darlene) Hatzenbihler; her sisters, Rose (William) Jahner, Mary (Martin) Emineth, and Beata (John) Haag; and her special pet, Annie.
Memorials may be given to Center Golden Age or St. Martin’s Catholic Church.
