Ellenora was born in the Hazelton area of Emmons County on September 10, 1925, the daughter of Richard and Magdaline (Munch) Wagner. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Hazelton. On February 22, 1944 Ellenora married the love of her life, Jacob (Jake) Ohlhauser. They shared a life filled with love, compassion, laughter, fun and the antics of three spirited sons. The family enjoyed many days boating, fishing, hunting and visiting family and friends. Jake left this world too soon in 1982, at age 62, telling his family “I had a good life”.
Ellenora worked hard all her life, while always having time to listen to those in need, and to share the beauty of her faith and heart with family and friends. “Elle” found great companionship and married Clarence G. Schultz in 1988. They had a supportive and loving relationship until Clarence passed away in 2002.
Always caring for others, and being somewhat private about herself, Elle gave “her boys” explicit instructions to keep her obituary short and to the point -- no long-winded carrying on about her. Her boys decided to obey, one last time. Short and to the point: Heaven is a brighter place with Elle there, and those of us who were fortunate to be family or friends, carry her love with us, every day. Hallelujah!
Elle is survived by her sons Jerry Ohlhauser of Bismarck, Darrell Ohlhauser of San Tan Valley, AZ and Mark Ohlhauser of Queen Creek, AZ. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Joyce (Jerry) and Marisa (Darrell), as well as sisters Vye Olson (Texas) and Luella Maier (Washington state), sister-in-law Florence (Vernon) Wagner, and a large family of grand children, great-grand children, nieces and nephews – all of whom she dearly loved.
Elle was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers (Wagner) Vernon, William, Oneil, Emil, Elmer and Ray.
