Esther Marie Larson

Esther Larson, 91, Beulah, died March 16, 2018, in Wilton, ND. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 21, at 11:00 am at 1st Presbyterian Church, 401 Dakota Avenue, Wilton, ND, with Rev. Kevin Kaufmann officiating. There will be no visitation, as cremation will take place. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, in Wilton, at a later date. Esther was born to Jacob and Christine Wiebe on April 14, 1926 and grew up on a farm near Beulah, ND. She moved to Bismarck where she met and married Donald Larson on June 26, 1946. They moved to a farm west of Wilton and later settled on a farm east of Wilton, where they raised their five children: LaVerne, Gail, Donna, Dean, and Mary. She was a loving mother and hard-working farm wife but always had time for her children, doing fun things and cooking excellent meals. She was very artistic and loved to paint, she was also an avid pinochle player and loved scrabble. She will be greatly missed. Esther is survived by her children, Donna (Edwin) Whetham, Wilton, ND, Mary (Jeff) Dillman, Mandan, ND, Dean (Lois) Larson, Wilton, ND; siblings, Beverly (Glen) Dahl, Roseau, MN, Ted (Sandy) Wiebe, Beulah, ND; eight grandchildren, Tondi (Shawn) McCoul, Tory (Rondalyn) Whetham, Lora (Samantha) Whetham,  Lee Larson (Jennifer Hausauer), DJ Wallace (Ashley Kunz), Brandi (Tyler) Everding, Tina (Jamie) Naumann, and Tammy (Matt) Staudinger; 17 great-grandchildren, Connor McCoul, Kellen McCoul, Finn McCoul, Taven McCoul, Braddick McCoul, Aaralyn Whetham, Cullen Whetham, Kaiden Whetham, Dylan Wallace, Darren Wallace, Bradon Wallace, Ryker Wallace, Kailey Everding, Torie (Naumann) Krick, Teya Naumann, Chase Staudinger, and Deegan Staudinger; one great-great granddaughter, Rylee Mae Krick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Larson; parents, Jacob and Christine Wiebe; brothers, Jake Wiebe and Bill Wiebe; sisters, Elsie (Hank) Boehler, Margaret (John) Davidson, and Laurie (Edgar) Strom; daughters, LaVerne (John) Wheeler, and Gail (Clinton) Lein; granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Larson; and granddaughter in-law, Brittany Wallace.
