Eugene Jungling, 72, passed away on Dec. 9, 2020. A private memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A service livestream will be available on the funeral home’s website, listed below.
Burial will be held 12 p.m. Monday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Eugene was born on Sept. 22, 1948 to Josephine and Eugene Jungling, Sr., in Garrison, the oldest of three children. He graduated from Garrison High School in 1967 and served in the military in Vietnam until 1969.
He met the love of his life, Anna Marie Wolbaum, in January 1970 and the two were married on Sept. 4, 1970. The next 50 years of their lives were spent raising their six children and spending time together.
Eugene enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing – especially when he was able to do it with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the casino with his wife. Eugene had a very robust sense of humor that will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Melissa (Stephan) Schon, Michelle (Ryan) Davy, Marie (Ethan) Porter, Marylou Jungling, Michael Jungling and Melinda (Nicholas) Tank; grandchildren, Kimberlee Schon, Courtney (Lucas) Hubrig, Matthew (Lexi) Davy, Alex Davy, Thomas Davy, Danielle Davy, MaKayla (Brad) Santo, Melanie Patrix, Jacob Patrix, Mariah McCaulley and Hoyte Tank; great-grandchildren, Jaxsyn Schon, Zander Hubrig, Alexa Schon, Ryan and Vera Davy, and Jhavonny Gutierrez and Arracelli Villarreal. Also survived by his siblings Lorraine (Dennis) Schmitcke, Maynard Sr. (Sharon) Jungling and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, and special uncle, Johnny.
