Eunice Fowler

Eunice M. (Euny) Fowler, 81, Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Harvey, ND passed away from this earth and took the Lord's hand to join her husband on September 13, 2017.Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Parkway Funeral Services, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, ND with Reverend Darrel Aleson officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Parkway Funeral Service.  Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Eunice was born January 10, 1936, in McClusky, ND, the daughter of Rudolph and Emma (Schell) Hissung.  She grew up on their farm in McClusky, ND until they moved to Bismarck in the fall of 1950 when she was 14.  She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1954 and continued her education at Bismarck Junior College to graduate in 1955 with a one-year Commercial Certificate.On September 23, 1957, Eunice married her sweetheart Leslie G. (Bud) Fowler, Jr.  She worked in various places as they moved due to Les's job requirements with them retiring in Harvey, ND in 1989. Eunice was baptized at the Assembly of God Church in Harvey, ND, where they attended church. She  liked working with the public and enjoyed meeting and helping customers.  She also liked working in the hospital in the purchasing department making orders and stocking supplies as needed.  She enjoyed gardening and did beautiful crochet work making many doilies for her family and friends.  She enjoyed playing her accordion, where she started playing at a young age.  Les and her would sit in on jam sessions and they were very involved in Fiddler's Contests and traveled to many competitions in Arizona, North Dakota and Canada.  Les and Eunice moved to Phoenix, AZ, in 2012 to be near family.Eunice is survived by one son, Leslie G. (Lee) Fowler III, Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Karla Fowler, Phoenix, AZ, and Lori (Dean) Wahl, Elko, NV; five grandchildren, Leslie G. (Josh) Fowler IV, AZ, Trista Wahl, AZ, Tiffany Fowler, AZ, Michael (Rachel) Wahl, NV, and Nathaniel Fowler, AZ; two great-grandchildren, DJ and Deandra Wahl, NV; and one sister-in-law, Arlys Fowler, Bismarck, ND. Eunice is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and an infant brother, Marvin; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Bradley and Vernie Schoepp; and two brothers-in-law, Arnie Schoepp and Clemens Fowler. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to philanthropy.mayoclinic.org in memory of Eunice Fowler.  This donation can go toward Alzheimer's Disease Research or where the need is greatest.
