Following high school, she attended St. Catherine’s College in St. Paul, MN. Evelyn and Harold grew up and met each other in Regent, ND. The couple were married on November 29, 1947, in Tacoma, WA, and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last year. Evelyn and Harold enjoyed traveling together, especially to Yuma, AZ, for the winter months. She took great pride in her flower gardens and gardening. One of her greatest hobbies was hunting for arrowheads, petrified wood, and fossils. Evelyn loved to play Bingo and cards. You would be very fortunate if you could beat her at a game of cards! When her children were young, she was a den mother for the Regent Boy Scouts. She was known for her pie baking and pastries, strudel, kuchen, and homemade fudge. She always pleased her family with German and Hungarian dishes. Family was very important to her and as was her Catholic faith. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids, and always enjoyed their times together. She loved the fun times she shared with her special friend, Kay Newby, and the bowling night when her and the girls would travel to New England to bowl and laugh, or should we say, laugh and bowl. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Harold; her children, Carla (Bob) Hillard, Bill (Dillys) Bach, Jim Bach, and Karen (Whitey) Holt; her grandchildren, Sean Hillard, and Josh and Jarrett Bach; her great-grandkids, Sienna Bach, Oliver and Asher Bach; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John P. and Rosie Jungers; her grandson, Jesse Hillard; her daughter-in-law, Deb Bach; and her siblings, Sophie Koppinger, Louis Jungers, Frank Jungers, Anna Anton, Nick Jungers, John Jungers, Pete Jungers, Katherine Nagy, Joe Jungers, Joe Woodrow Jungers, Rose Jordan, Luke Jungers.
