Forrest Cross passed away at his home on Tuesday June 27, 2017. His Indian name was Black Feather, and he was a member of the Prairie Chicken Clan. A private family service was held at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, on Friday, June 30, 2017. Forrest was born to Mike Cross and Kyle Patterson on August 3, 1982 in Stanley, North Dakota. He was raised on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation and was an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes and was Tuscarora of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois Confederacy). He graduated from New Town High School in 2001, attended the Fort Berthold Community College and graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2006. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Information Systems. He obtained employment in his field at the Microsoft Corporation in 2006, Prairie Knights Casino in 2007, and Tesoro Refinery in 2011. He married Sacheen Whitetail Cross on July 28, 2007. They built their home and resided in Mandan, ND. Forrest enjoyed playing golf, reading, and watching and playing sports. He loved spending time with all his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a generous and kind nature, and charisma and charm that everyone who knew him loved.Forrest is survived by his wife, Sacheen Whitetail Cross; his parents, Mike Cross and Kyle Patterson; his sisters Amanda Cross and Kara Fox (Clint); his nephews Tristan Fox and Isaak Franklin; his nieces Kayla Franklin, Kylie Franklin, and Ellie Fox; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
