Frances Forderer, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 12, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Refuge Church, 4440 Bottom Road, Bismarck, with Rev. Corey Fifer officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Frances was born on November 14, 1933 in Roscow, SD to Joseph and Anna Marie (Senger) Klein. The family moved to Linton where she was raised and attended school. In 1951, the family moved to Beulah. She married Arthur Forderer on July 27, 1952. In their marriage two sons were welcomed, Wayne and Kevin.
Frances worked as a CNA in various medical facilities throughout her life, including, St. Alexius, Bismarck Hospital, and Medcenter One. Her passion in life was working and caring for children.
Frances loved to play cards with her family and friends. The greatest joy of her life was her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Wayne (Betty) and Kevin (Susan); six sisters Evangeline (Frank) Zimmerman, Marcella (Gerald) Fryda, Mary Ann (Selmer) Kjorstad, Lois (Larry) Smith, Donna (Cliff) Weigum, and Debbie (Kent) Sandborn; four brothers Aloysuis (Vicky), Westly (Jenie), Kenny (Michelle), and Larry (Bonnie); three granddaughters Felicia Engstrom, Rachael (Corey) Fifer, Adriana (Dylan) Anderson; and two great-grandchildren Brynlee and Brayden Fifer.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; sisters Judy (Bob) Olhauser and infant sister Linda; one brother Roger (Patricia); her parents and her step-mother Ida (Wolfer) Klein.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care staff at St. Vincent’s for their wonderful care and concern.
